How to Have Multiple Orgasms: A Crash Course

How to Have Multiple Orgasms: A Crash Course

Dear Emily,

I'm not with a partner at the moment but I want to learn to have multiple orgasms. I know how to make myself have an orgasm, and I feel satisfied after I do, but I've never been able to have a few in a row. Is there any way to train yourself to have multiple orgasms?

Dear Anna,
I love a woman with goals! Especially goals focused on your pleasure. The good news: You can do this. Here's how to train yourself to have multiple orgasms:

1. Don't expect immediate results. Believe it or not, the more you focus on the orgasm, the less likely it could happen. Besides, the journey can be fun. You never know what other erogenous zones you might stumble upon along the way.

2. Stay present. The trick is to stay connected to your body mentally and physically, even after the first orgasm. One of the most important things you can do to stay present and take yourself out of your head is to pay attention to your breath, in and out. Repeat. Breathing will relax your body and expand your pleasure potential. Deep breaths also flood your body with oxygen so your nervous system can do its job, increasing the amount of pleasure your brain can process.

3. Vary the intensity. The clitoris is the focal point of female arousal and the primary source of multiple orgasms. After you reach your first orgasm, you might feel sensitive and need to pull back from direct touch, yet at the same time you have to keep up some level of stimulation to avoid losing the ability to have another orgasm. Switch to stimulating yourself through indirect touch, rubbing the area around the clitoris, or touching another spot that feels good (this is where a partner becomes especially helpful, but not necessary!). You probably only require a short break before the sensitivity goes away and you get back to your hot spot.

4. Use a vibrator. A vibrator can make it much easier to have multiple orgasms. Experiment with a small clitoral vibrator or a strong, large one like the old standby Hitachi Magic Wand, both of which can bring you to orgasm quickly. After that, remember: make sure you don't let your arousal drop completely. Crank it down after you have your first orgasm and then slowly raise the levels again. You can also use the vibrator to lightly trace over your nipples, your pelvic mound and all over your body to find out what other areas respond to vibrations, until you're ready to go again with direct pressure.

Just remember, it might take some time but stick with it and you'll be amazed at how much pleasure your body will deliver!

XO,
Emily
